Alumni Ventures’ Bascom Ventures Fund is democratizing venture capital for the University of Wisconsin community and serving as a value-add investor to its portfolio companies.

Immigrating to the U.S. is a notoriously cumbersome and expensive process. Some individuals end up paying thousands of dollars in steep lawyer fees for professional guidance. Others try to manage their applications themselves and miss pertinent paperwork and information. On average, it takes three years to receive a green card.

Our Emerging Markets Fund will provide individuals with a portfolio of ~20-30 promising venture-backed companies diversified by stage, sector, geography, and lead investor.

To help illustrate the diversity and promise of our Emerging Markets Fund, we wanted to turn the spotlight on two deals recently added to the portfolio: Matchwell and TripleBlind.
